Maria is the owner and artist behind Maria Overlay Art! She is a multidisciplinary artist. Her journey started with photography and soon after digital art. She has learned acrylic and mixed media art, oil painting and has found her love for watercolors and gouache again after so many years of not using either medium! She is also learning Illustrating in Procreate as well as hand lettering! Just more goodies to add to the artist tool box! She enjoy hot coffee, playing around with her backyard chicken, walks with her pups, cuddles with her cats and of course spending time with her husband and teens! She hopes to become a nomad in her later years and travel around the US (and maybe other countries! Like Italy and Ireland to see where her people came from!). Art is her vehicle to share with others so they too can escape the ordinary and live a life they love!

She lives in the Philippines with her husband and daughter near a beautiful island that’s a popular wedding destination. Gen enjoys calligraphy and has experience in video editing and graphic design. Her artistry is ever-evolving and multi-creative! 🌈
