Hello, I'm Maria, a multi-passionate creative whose journey began with photography and eventually led to a love for painting in watercolors, acrylics, and oils.
Inspired by nature’s magic, stories (like The Secret Garden, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and so many more!), beautiful lights, symbols, and romantic-style handwriting, I seek to weave stories of these everyday wonders into creations with a magical and whimsical feel!
My studio is located in Valparaiso, Indiana. I find comfort in my morning cup of hot coffee, watching wild birds like blue jays and crows, taking daily walks outside, and tending my magical garden full of roses, catmint, sunflowers, and moonflowers! And hanging out with my pets and family!
When I am not creating, I love working on my Find Your Magic Newsletter, connecting with my collectors and fellow artists, and reading Magical Realism, Mystery, and Female-Driven Narrative Books.
